A quiet family-friendly place to live! The Lower Valley is a cozy neighborhood nestled near the Rio Grande. You’ll enjoy a small-town rural fell with big-city amenities and entertainment. The Lower Valley has easy access to the Downtown area via the Loop 375 Express. Shopping and entertainment destinations such as the Fountain at Farah, Bassett Place, and Cielo Vista mall are just a few minutes away through Interstate 10.  Just a couple miles south you will find the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center with live music, free big-name concerts and food and drinks.

Lower Valley also offers family fun at the Ascarate Park the largest public-use recreation center in El Paso County.  Spanning over 400 acres there is plenty of room for sports, picnicking, fishing and other recreational activities. With a lake side boardwalk Ascarate Lake allows visitors to take in the sight with canoe and pedal boat rentals. The park allows a variety of activities from picnicking, playgrounds, basketball, baseball, and tennis. It also houses the Ascarate Aquatic Center with one of the few Olympic size competition pools in El Paso County. For a more relaxing outdoor activity Ascarate Park also features an 18- hole 72 park golf course and a 9-hole executive course.

Bigger and better than ever the El Paso Zoo sits on 35 acres home to exotic animal’s form around the world. Featuring family attractions such as the African Star Train and to cool off the Hunt Family Desert Spring water features.  Just across the street is the El Paso County Coliseum a multi-purpose arena. The building was originally built to support a rodeo and support livestock shows, it was later expanded and caters to other types of events including hockey, basketball, boxing, soccer, concerts and so much more.
